WEEKLY WORSHIP MEETINGS AND DISCIPLESHIP SMALL GROUPS

Church of Hope has a real heart to see people being saved and becoming mature disciples. Every week Church of Hope runs Worship meetings to encourage many of the more marginalised people in the City of Melbourne and inner city areas of Sydney such as Kings Cross. Worship and practical Bible Based messages are a key part of these meetings. Mid-Week leadership and discipleship groups are also held for all those who want to grow in their faith.

PRACTICALLY MINISTERING TO THE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY

We provide free nutritious meals for the disadvantaged and homeless who attend our Saturday night Melbourne worship meetings and inner Sydney outreach meetings. Click "HERE" for full details of where these meetings are held. In addition we also provide clothing and blankets to those who are in need as resources become available.

SHARING THE GOOD NEWS OF THE GOSPEL

We are active in evangelism and regularly go out to preach, hand out tracts, and talk to people about Jesus. These outreaches have resulted in many people being saved and coming into a relationship with Jesus Christ.

We also hold free evangelism classes from time to time, where the keys to effective gospel presentation are taught. After preparation and prayer, we then go out in small groups. Most people are surprised at how easy it is to share the gospel in public and quickly develop a taste for it, often moving into other forms of ministry as well.

STREET OUTREACHES

"Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in here the poor and the maimed and the lame and the blind."           (Luke 14:21)

On most Friday nights Pastor David Palmer from Church of Hope heads an outreach team on the steps of Flinders Street Station. During these outreaches people are encouraged to walk with the Lord and to become connected to a loving Bible Based church. Michael Zombos pictured right has also been a part of these outreaches for several years

HELPING TO EQUIP AND RESOURCE OVERSEAS PASTORS

We have a strong commitment to missionary work, and regularly travel to countries like India to team up with local pastors to conduct evangelistic crusades, help look after the needs of the people, and provide ministry training.
